Primary Purpose
The Student Enrollment Ambassador serves as a student leader who supports campus enrollment efforts by connecting with prospective students and families who have expressed interest in Texans Can Academies. Ambassadors provide peer insight, share personal experiences, assist families with questions, and promote a welcoming school culture.
The Primary purpose of the Student Enrollment Ambassador is to:
- Increase enrollment through authentic peer outreach
- Strengthen family trust and connection
- Create student leadership opportunities
- Improve retention through peer influence
Qualifications
- Must be in and maintain excellent academic standing and attendance
- Must be a TCA student for at least two (2) terms before applying
- Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable speaking with adults and peers
- Must be reliable and responsible, and have a positive attitude and school pride
- Have the willingness to be a student ambassador for at least two (2) consecutive terms
- Commitment to daily schedule M-F
Key Responsibilities
Family and Student Outreach
- Call, text, or message families who have expressed interest in enrolling
- Share personal experiences about TCA
- Answer general student-life questions
- Encourage families to complete enrollment steps
- Remind students about orientation, required documents, and first-day expectations
Referral and Recruitment Support
- Promote the student referral program
- Encourage peers to invite eligible friends and family
- Track referrals accurately
Event Support
- Assist with enrollment events and orientations
- Serve as student representatives during orientations and special events
- Support social media testimonials as needed
Retention Support
- Check in with newly enrolled students
- Encourage attendance and engagement during the first 30-60 days

This is a grant-funded position and is subject to the specifications outlined there within and to the duration of the award.
Working Conditions
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged computer use.
