Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College Western Campus seeks a Work Study Student Assistant for the TRIO SSS program to provide front-line customer service, assist with events, and help maintain the program's social media presence.

You will gain leadership experience while ensuring TRIO participants feel welcome, participate in planning, and support outreach, scheduling, and clerical tasks under supervision. This role emphasizes student engagement and FERPA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with social media content creation is a plus.
• Ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Experience supporting events and program activities is desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership initiative and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Front Desk and Student Engagement: greet and assist students, answer questions, and manage check-in.
• Social Media and Communications: create and post content for TRIO SSS platforms and promote activities.
• Program and Event Support: assist with planning, setup, execution, and cleanup of events and workshops.
• Student Leadership and Program Input: provide feedback and participate in planning sessions for student activities.
• Administrative Support: perform clerical tasks, data entry, and maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
