George Mason University’s Office of Outreach, Student Success, and Engagement (OSSE) seeks an Outreach and Engagement Assistant to provide administrative support for student engagement, outreach, and scholar programs.

The role involves purchasing, room reservations, and financial reconciliation, with a focus on collaboration with NACME Scholars, RLC program teams, RSOs, and external partners. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for related fields.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to OSSE, including purchasing, room reservations, event logistics, form creation, and financial reconciliation.
• Support OSSE programs: NACME Scholars, RLC, RSOs, and external partners.
• Coordinate logistics for external partner programming and K-12 outreach events with OSSE leadership.
• Serve as first point of contact for CEC RSOs such as NSBE, SHPE, SWE, IEEE, ACM, and others.
• Maintain program documentation, attendance records, and participant databases.
