Job summary

Utah Valley University at the UCCU Center seeks an EMT-1 to provide basic to intermediate emergency care during events. You will assess patients, manage care, and prepare for transfer to paramedics, police, or hospital staff.

You will document care at the scene, create incident reports, and keep medical supplies organized and ready. Duties include assisting with hazards and event-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UVU student.
• High school diploma or GED and three years of experience, or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to three years.
• A technical or vocational degree may substitute for experience.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of pre-hospital EMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic to intermediate emergency rescue and care to ill and injured.
• Assess illness/injury and manage care; prepare for transport.
• Transfer information to paramedics and police.
• Document care and create accident reports.
• Organize, clean, and stock Center medical supplies.
• Assist with hazard identification and event support.
