Qualifications

• Successful completion of EMT Basic Course.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Responds quickly to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assesses patients' conditions to determine nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
• Provides basic life support and administers first aid, CPR, and other basic life support measures.
• Stabilizes patients at the scene and during transport to facilities.
• Safely transports patients to hospitals or medical facilities.
• Operates emergency vehicles and drives ambulances safely.
• Communicates and coordinates with other emergency services and with family/staff.
• Maintains equipment and ensures it is properly stocked and functioning.
• Documents care provided and patient condition accurately.
• Participates in ongoing training and professional development.
• CHEMS: Provides continued or follow-up care to prevent readmissions.
