Position Summary

Art Department Student Workers complete a variety of tasks related to studio, collection, and office maintenance.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Assist with studio maintenance for safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with displaying and preserving art across campus.
  • Assist with office maintenance and management of department systems including locker check‑outs, marketing material prep, and other essential systems.
  • Assist with large projects as directed by the Gallery Curator and Department Chair.
  • Must be able to push or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Position requires frequent bending, stretching, and lifting.
  • Ability to sit, walk, and stand up to 4 hours.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to use office equipment (fax, copier, etc).
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background check.
  • Completion of New Employee Training.
  • Must be currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (if first semester student, GPA requirement is waived).
  • If the student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
