Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking a part-time Sanitization Specialist/Ware Washer at the Upper DeBot Dining Center. You will clean china, glassware, and utensils, ensure timely delivery of clean items to front of house, and assist with end-of-shift cleaning.

Weekend shifts required and training completed before first shift. The role requires a minimum of 8 hours per week, physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds, and completion of mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• Ability to lift pans, weighing up to 40#, between production area and carts.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist and lift weighing up to 60# when storing, stocking and gathering prepared products and/or inventory items.
• Ability to stand and walk on hard floors for extended hours.
• All applicants must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (GPAs 2.0+).
• Applicants must pass a criminal background check.
• Successful applicants must pass all UWSP mandatory trainings and department trainings on onboarding.
• Eight-week probationary period with performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all china, glassware, and silverware in a timely manner and deliver clean items to the front of house during meal service.
• Load/unload the dish machine and maintain a clean/dry floor throughout the shift.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and complete University Dining Orientation Canvas Page and mandatory trainings.
• Abide by University Dining Student Employment Handbook policies and department procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Management Team.
