Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point is hiring a Sanitization Specialist/Ware Washer for the DUC Food Court. This on-site position accepts work-study and regular pay applicants, with base wage $13.00/hour. You will clean china, glassware, and silverware, prepare for service, and assist in delivering clean items to various concepts.

Lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for long periods are required. Applicants must be part-time students, pass background checks and trainings, and complete

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• Ability to lift pans weighing up to 40 lb between production area and carts.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist and lift weighing up to 60 lb when storing, stocking and gathering prepared products and/or inventory items.
• Must be a part-time student (enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (GPA 2.0+).
• Applicants must pass a criminal background check.
• Successful applicants must pass UWSP mandatory trainings along with department trainings during onboarding.
• Eight-week probationary period with performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, and utensils to ensure proper cleanliness.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
• Deliver clean china, glassware, and utensils to various dining concepts during service.
• Assist in end-of-shift cleanup, including carousel, dishwasher, pulper, sink, wash machine, walls and floors.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and complete required trainings before first shift.
• Adhere to University Dining policies and department procedures during employment onboarding.
