Agency: J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, Division of Community College. Work Location: Henrico (Campus 087).
Salary: commensurate with education and experience, located in the emergency/essential personnel category.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and facilitate courses in the SDV program across various campus sites and times as needed to support student success.
  • Serve as SDV program head, assisting the school dean with college-wide management duties for academic programs and disciplines, including program health, curriculum, faculty development and evaluation, compliance, scheduling, and staffing.
Special Assignments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Assist the agency or state government in emergency declarations by the Governor.
  • Travel between campuses as required.
KSA's / Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in the teaching field with demonstrated competency in teaching.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Additional Considerations
  • Community college or high school teaching experience.
  • Ability to emphasize student‑centered and innovative learning experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural populations supporting diversity, cultural understanding, and inclusion.
  • Operation of a state vehicle (no supervision of employees, no required travel).
