Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in relevant field.
• Two years of experience directly relating to computer systems.
• Ability to learn district policies rapidly and explain them to staff, parents, students, and the public.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Experience with student accounting procedures and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SIS expert for selecting, summarizing, analyzing, and reviewing data to produce reports for administrators and the NC DPI.
• Prepares and maintains computerized records of student attendance; reconciles monthly reports.
• Maintains student demographics, scheduling, grading information and medical records.
• Prepares SIS data for beginning and end of year, including promotions and retentions.
• Provides information and/or training to school staff on SIS usage and data applications.
• Coordinates user security within SIS with district personnel and attends workshops to stay current.
