Job summary

Intrinsic Schools in Chicago is seeking a Culture Team Member to establish discipline systems and support student behavior, including reflection, detention, and dress code, while promoting personal and professional development.

You will collaborate with the culture team, administration, and staff to ensure consistent student support, contribute to community circles and town halls, and help implement individual behavior plans.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Dean of Culture as the point person for discipline/culture issues
• Supervises breakfast, lunch, transitions, enrichment, and dismissal
• Manages detention
• Supports teachers in holding all students up to consistent expectations
• Acts as a resource for teachers in their instructional practice, especially as it relates to issues of discipline, relationships with students, classroom management, and school culture
• Assists teachers, students, and parents in the effective creation and implementation of individual behavior plans
• Participates in home visits highlighting the responsibilities of parents, teachers, and students
• Required to be highly present and visible and responsive during school hours
• Models the school’s values and the standard for professional behavior
• Maintains accurate student records, documenting all conferences and phone calls for behavior and attendance
• Other duties as assigned by the school
