Job summary

Intrinsic Schools is seeking a Culture Team Member to establish and carry out discipline systems and support for student behavior. You will also support student participation in community circles and town halls, and deliver curriculum focused on personal and professional development.

The role works with the culture team, administration and staff to ensure consistent student support and alignment with school values. A strong presence during school hours is required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Dean of Culture as the point person for discipline/culture issues
• Supervises breakfast, lunch, transitions, enrichment, and dismissal
• Manages detention
• Supports teachers in holding all students up to consistent expectations
• Acts as a resource for teachers in their instructional practice, especially as it relates to issues of discipline, relationships with students, classroom management, and school culture
• Assists teachers, students, and parents in the effective creation and implementation of individual behavior plans
• Participates in home visits highlighting the responsibilities of parents, teachers, and students
• Required to be highly present and visible and responsive during school hours
• Models the school’s values and the standard for professional behavior
• Maintains accurate student records, documenting all conferences and phone calls for behavior and attendance
• Other duties as assigned by the school
