Job summary

Pensacola State College invites applications for the Director, Student Conduct. This professional/managerial post reports to the Dean of Students and leads conduct processes, training, and policy development to support a safe, respectful campus.

The role oversees the Student Conduct Hearing Board, coordinates with Public Safety, and ensures compliance with laws and college policies while promoting student success and responsible behavior across all campus communities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with two years of college/university experience or Bachelor's with four years of experience.
• Successful criminal background check is required.
• Experience with student conduct in college/university settings preferred; knowledge of Maxient system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicates cases involving alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct following procedures.
• Maintains confidential student conduct records and analyzes trends.
• Monitors compliance with sanctions and coordinates appeals.
• Oversees recruitment, training, and management of the Student Conduct Hearing Board.
• Collaborates with Public Safety/College Police while maintaining separation of criminal and administrative roles.
• Implements faculty/staff training on student rights and responsibilities.
• Mediates between students and faculty to resolve conduct cases informally.
• Serves as a resource on conduct policies and referral procedures.
• Assists the Dean of Students with revisions to the Student Code of Conduct.
• Participates in Pirates CARE College Behavioral Intervention Team and Campus safety initiatives.
• Assists with Title IX and Civil Rights investigations as needed.
• Oversees biennial Drug-Free Schools review and Campus Hazing Transparency Report.
• Follows safety practices; reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
