Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington seeks a Student Development Specialist IV to investigate and adjudicate violations of university student rules, and to educate the campus community on outcomes and processes.

Responsibilities include managing the Maxient system, reviewing documentation, scheduling Title IX hearings, and delivering trainings to faculty and staff on student conduct procedures and due process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or related field with two (2) years of experience in student affairs/higher education or equivalent.
  • Experience with program development, case management, and hearing student conduct cases preferred.
  • Knowledge of Title IX and related laws; understanding of due process.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate case management, including oversight of Maxient.
  • Review incident reports, appeals, and sanction submissions.
  • Assign cases and communicate outcomes for consistency and compliance.
  • Investigate and adjudicate violations of student rules across general and residential populations.
  • Plan and coordinate Title IX hearings.
  • Develop educational programs on topics like Academic Integrity and housing standards.
  • Manage program budgets and assess impact.
