Job summary

Wake Forest University invites applications for the Assistant Director, Student Conduct to lead a comprehensive, learning-focused student conduct program within the Office of the Dean of Students. The role oversees trainings, investigations, hearings, and educational interventions across campus.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in a related field, have 3+ years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong communication and facilitation skills to collaborate with Residence Life,

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in a related field.
  • Minimum of three years professional, full-time experience.
  • Experience in student conduct, residence life and housing.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Exceptional public speaking and facilitation with individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

  • Directs a comprehensive educational student conduct system including training, case assignments and investigations.
  • Counsels students individually or in groups on behavioural, academic, safety and emotional issues.
  • Initiates referrals to campus resources such as Title IX, Counseling, and other offices.
  • Serves as a hearing officer for alleged student conduct violations.
  • Manages alternative dispute resolutions and restorative practices.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student records in accordance with regulations.

Education

Master’s degree in related field (student personnel/higher education/counseling/organizational behavior)
3+ years professional experience
Student conduct and housing experience
Excellent written communication
Public speaking & facilitation
