Job summary

Western Nevada College's Child Development Center is seeking a student employee to assist teachers as a Teacher’s Aide. You will organize activities for children in line with the curriculum, sing, read stories, and support developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day.

Other duties include cleaning and maintaining a safe, organized environment, helping with conflict resolution, and supporting language and social development.

Qualifications

• TB test is required upon hire.
• Initial training to be completed within 90 days: CPR, First Aid, Symptoms of Illness, Child Abuse and Neglect, SIDS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Organize activities with children in accordance with the curriculum (singing, reading stories, language arts).
• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day.
• Other duties such as cleaning, maintaining a safe and organized environment, supporting social interactions and conflict resolution.
