The role involves organizing activities with children in accordance with the curriculum prepared by the head teacher, including singing, reading stories, and other language arts. The aide will also support developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day and assist with additional duties as assigned.

Duties

Key responsibilities include:

• Organizing and leading classroom activities such as singing, reading stories, and language arts.
• Assisting with developmental tasks and promoting learning throughout the day.
• Supporting the child care environment by cleaning, arranging materials, and modeling positive interactions.
• Encouraging spontaneous reading, word play, navigation, and problem‑solving in social interactions.
• Helping to resolve minor conflicts and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children.

Requirements

Required qualifications:

• TB test required upon hire.
• Complete initial training within 90 days: CPR, First Aid, Symptoms of Illness, Child Abuse and Neglect, SIDS, etc.
• ECE degree or coursework in early childhood preferred, but not required.
• Experience in child care preferred, but not required.
