Qualifications

• Must hold New York State certification for the position.
• Knowledge of speech and language development, assessment practices, and evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language screenings and evaluations.
• Interpret assessment results and prepare written reports.
• Develop measurable Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• Provide individual, small-group, and classroom-based services as appropriate.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.
• Maintain accurate, timely service records and required documentation.
• Consult with classroom staff on strategies to support communication throughout the school day.
