Job summary

The Bizzell Group is seeking a Counseling Services Specialist to support students with counseling and training needs in California. The role involves individual and group sessions, maintaining CIS records, and coordinating with staff and parents to resolve student issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology or social work required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 15 semester hours of instruction in social services-related instruction.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Administers leaves and passes in CIS to adhere to DOL policies.
• Conducts individual counseling sessions monthly using RAP format.
• Conducts group sessions as assigned.
• Enters monthly case notes in CIS using RAP format.
• Assists students in seeking advanced training opportunities.
• Maintains communications with parents, guardians and Admissions Counselors.
• Acts as liaison between students and instructors and residential advisors.
• Provides information to the Student Personnel Officer and represents students on review panels.
• Meets with SPO for consultation on problems.
• Develops referrals and follows up on progress reports and hearings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
