Job summary

Bcisdistrict is seeking an experienced School Counselor to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive guidance program at the assigned campus. Counsel students to develop academic, career, personal, and social abilities and address needs of special populations.

Responsibilities include delivering a structured guidance curriculum, providing counseling services, supporting post-secondary planning, and collaborating with families and district staff to address student needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas school counselor certificate.
• Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and deliver structured guidance curriculum for diverse student populations.
• Provide responsive guidance services for crisis and ongoing student needs.
• Assist students with academic, career, and personal planning.
• Collaborate with staff, parents/guardians, and community to support student development.
• Compile reports and maintain records consistent with district policies and procedures.
• Supervise counseling staff and support personnel as assigned.
• Adhere to district safety protocols and professional standards.
