Lexington Health is seeking a Student Cardiovascular Sonographer to learn and assist with echo and vascular ultrasound examinations under direct supervision. The role focuses on developing foundational skills, with planned progression toward independent performance under supervision.

Candidates will train to become registry eligible within 12 months and cross-train in both Echo and Vascular labs within 24 months, while maintaining professional conduct with the Cardiovascular Educator and medical

Qualifications

• Must be CPR certified or certified within 3 months of employment
• Maintain CEU’s and complete annual Safety and Infection Control training
• Competency in Echo and Vascular Studies

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling, performing and processing echo/vascular studies under supervision
• Gain registry eligibility and attain registry within 12 months
• Cross-train in Echo and Vascular labs within 24 months
• Maintain professional rapport with Cardiovascular Educator and staff
• Follow department and hospital policies to ensure timely service and patient care
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement activities
