Job Summary

Building Assistants are responsible for providing UK Students and the UK Community with quality customer service while providing information, controlling access, checking out equipment, and monitoring the fitness areas. Staff maintain a safe environment by actively supervising activities and enforcing facility policies. Staff are trained to respond to emergencies according to the outlined Emergency Action Plans. Building Assistants help to maintain a clean facility by completing routine cleaning, performing laundry duties, and completing other chores as assigned.

This position is also Federal Work-Study eligible, if you qualify.

Preferred Education/Experience

Building Assistants will serve as a first responder. CPR / AED /First Aid certifications are required for Building Assistants. Free certification classes will be available to all new employees who are not currently certified. Student employees are expected to maintain a current certification throughout their employment.
