Job summary

University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks a Major Campus Programming Student Event Manager to assist in executing semesterly campus events. You will help with event setup, check-in, and wrap-up, while engaging with students and staff.

This part-time role requires 4p–after shifts, 5–10 hours weekly, and active involvement in campus activities. Under supervision, you’ll support SOA Cinema Series, Bingo, Trivia, game watches, and tabling events, contributing to a welcoming campus life

Qualifications

• Involvement in UK campus organizations (Registered Student Organization, Student Sponsored Organization, Club Sports, etc.) and event management experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, hospitality, and ability to engage with guests and students at events.
• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Assist in in-person event management including setup, attendee check-in, and post-event cleanup; minimum shifts per semester.

Job Summary

The MCP Student Event Manager, at the guidance of the Major Campus Programming Coordinator, Senior Specialist, and/or Associate Director, will assist in executing semesterly Major Campus Programming events hosted by the Office of Student Organizations & Activities. Events include: SOA Cinema Series, Bingo, Trivia, Game Watches, tabling events, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• This position includes various tasks relating to in-person event management and execution including event set-up, check-in of attendees, event clean-up. This position is also subject to a minimum number of shifts per semester.


• Facilitation/hosting of events, engaging with guests, discussing involvement opportunities with students, and other duties as assigned. Candidates considered should have strong interpersonal skills and be able to actively engage with students, peers, or staff at events.
