Job summary

UW-Stevens Point is seeking a Student Police Dispatcher to serve the campus community, answer calls, log incidents, and coordinate with Officers using CAD and radios.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms, entering incident information, and coordinating with Portage County responders, while not handling 911 calls. A full-time UWSP student is required, and shifts include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be a fulltime UWSP student with good academic standing.
• GPA of 2.0 or higher is required.
• Background checks (criminal and conduct) are required.
• Must pass an interview.
• Strong verbal and written communication, plus ability to follow supervisory directions.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and handle walk-ins for campus police and security.
• Enter incident information into the CAD system and route to Officers or resources.
• Monitor campus alarms and coordinate with Fire Department or other responders.
• Relay information accurately to Officers and other responders; do not answer 911 calls.
