Job summary

Caldwell Transportation Company is seeking a dedicated bus driver to transport students safely on a variety of routes. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assist students, and communicate with school staff to ensure a positive, safe experience for every rider.

This role requires excellent verbal communication, the ability to work early mornings, and a professional, safety-focused attitude in all interactions with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Drive regular route or charter as assigned.
• Read street signs, route sheets and maps.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks.
• Assist students with loading/unloading, including wheelchair lifts.
• Communicate with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attend safety and training meetings.
• Conduct emergency evacuations from the bus.
• Keep interior and exterior of bus clean.
• Follow contract-specified duties as required.
• Manage students as directed by policies.
