Qualifications

• Operator’s license with required endorsements and local permits.

• Ability to follow a route sheet and use electronic routing devices.
• Must work with minimal supervision and maintain professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Drives a regular route with safe operation of the vehicle.
• Reads and understands street signs, route sheets and maps.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Assists students loading/unloading, including wheelchair lift.
• Communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attends safety and training meetings.
• Conducts emergency evacuations when needed.
• Cleans bus interior and exterior as required.
• Maintains student management and discipline as directed.
