Job summary

North-America-Central-School-Bus is seeking a dedicated bus driver to transport students on regular routes, charters or as a spare. You will read route sheets, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and assist students during loading and unloading, including wheelchair access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Operator’s license with endorsements and other state or local permits as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive regular routes, spare or charter assignments with safe vehicle operation.
• Read street signs, route sheets and maps.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including child checks.
• Assist students with loading/unloading and wheelchair access.
• Communicate with school staff, parents and students.
• Attend safety and training meetings.
• Conduct emergency evacuations when required.
• Maintain bus cleanliness inside and out.
• Adhere to OSHA and state/federal safety policies.
• Follow route directions and manage student safety.
