Boston Architectural College is seeking a Student Billing Representative in Boston, MA. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on monitoring student accounts and counseling students on payment options while collaborating with colleagues to maintain a welcoming environment for BAC constituents.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in higher education student financial services or accounts receivable and a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in higher education student financial services or accounts receivable department.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, professional, and friendly service in all interactions.
• Review and enter daily payments into PowerCampus from all vendors.
• Review bank activity to identify and enter payments.
• Manage payment plans provided through ACI including ensuring accurate balances and monitoring default plans.
• Process accounts receivable entries such as MBTA passes and prior learning assessments.
• Review monthly aging reports; ensure outstanding amounts are accurate and determine next actions.
• Counsel students regarding payment options and timelines.
• Responsible for all collection activity including letters, calls, emails, and referrals to collection agencies.
• Coordinate with collection agencies on rosters, payments, and disputes.
• Monitor the collection process and stay compliant with federal and state regulations.
• Coordinate and monitor internal payment arrangements for unresolved obligations.
• Manage third-party billing and monitor payments (Kuwait Embassy, SACM, Veterans Affairs, scholarships).
• Communicate efficiently with other offices to provide high-level service to BAC constituencies.
• Serve as backup to the Student Advocates and assist the Assistant Director of Student Billing with refunds.
