Job summary

CNM Central New Mexico Community College is seeking an Accounts Receivable Technician to manage student accounts, invoices, payments and reconciliations. You will work with the accounting team to ensure accurate posting and timely cash flow, and you will communicate with students and sponsors to resolve payment issues.

The role supports CNM's financial operations across multiple units, including tuition, refunds, and third-party sponsor billing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma with 2–4 years of office experience related to processing financial transactions.
• Degrees in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general accounting, cashiering, and data entries.
• Accepts payments for tuition and fees, accounts receivable and transportation service sales.
• Processes student refunds for credit balances or Financial Aid disbursements and reconciles CNM accounts.
• Prepares and records ad hoc journal entries for CNM entities and deposits.
