Job summary

Harford County Public Schools seeks a Behavioral Technician for Joppatowne Elementary School. Assist staff with instructional activities and support students' behavioral needs in a ten-month, full-time role.

The position requires a high school diploma, with an AA degree or 60 credits preferred and CPI training to be completed. Strong communication and ability to lift up to 40 pounds are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits with psychology/sociology coursework preferred.
• Alternate: 60 credits with grade C or higher; CPI completion required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior and implement behavior strategies.
• Respond to behavioral crises per school procedures under supervision.
• Assist with IEP behavior components and data collection.
• Build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
