Rome City School District seeks an In-School Suspension (ISS) Supervisor for an anticipated vacancy at Gansevoort Elementary School. This 10-month role requires overseeing the ISS room, maintaining a quiet study environment, and supporting student accountability and behavioral growth.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Associate degree with relevant experience and demonstrates strong classroom management and interpersonal skills to work with teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Qualificações

• High school diploma required.
• Associates Degree with equivalent experience required.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise the ISS room and maintain a quiet, orderly study environment.
• Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to ISS rules.
• Maintain records including attendance, assignments, and behavior documentation.
• Develop and maintain individual files for ISS students.
• Coordinate with teachers to monitor assignment completion.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students.
• Assist with hallway supervision and other duties as assigned.
• Prepare monthly disciplinary reports for the Assistant Principal.
• Communicate with administration regarding student concerns and progress.
• Support re-entry of students into the classroom and reinforce expectations.
