Job summary

FALL MOUNTAIN REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an In-School Suspension Monitor to support the Assistant Principal with student discipline and support. The role focuses on supervising the ISS room, maintaining fair and consistent discipline, and assisting students with assignments.

The position requires strong interpersonal skills, experience with At-Risk populations, and eligibility for NH para II certification.

Qualifications

• Strong student interaction and conflict mediation skills.
• Previous At-Risk or In-School suspension experience.
• Able to work collaboratively with the school administration to develop and implement programs for At-Risk students.

Responsibilities

• Monitor In-School Suspension with fair, firm and consistent discipline.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate with young people.
• Request work for students assigned to the ISS room for the day.
• Assist students with school assignments.
• Make daily phone calls to families when students are listed as absent.
• Work with school office and school counseling personnel to support students.
• Substitute in available positions when the ISS room is not in use.
• Report any disciplinary matters to the Assistant Principal.
• Performs other related duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
