Job summary

Colchester is seeking a dedicated staff member to support students placed in In-School Suspension (ISS). You will collaborate with classroom teachers to obtain assignments and resources so students can complete their work while in ISS, helping maintain a productive learning environment.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and sound decision-making. It is a non-Union, hourly position with benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in safety, security, or 6-12 education preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions.
• Ability to endure reasonably stressful work demands including interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to acquire work and resources for ISS students.
• Assist students in completing school work while in ISS.
• Monitor student behavior and safety during ISS time.
