Job summary

Connections Academy in Maine seeks a LiveLesson Attendance Coordinator to increase student attendance and engagement in LiveLesson sessions. The role works with students, families, teachers, counselors, and school leaders to identify barriers and implement targeted interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in education, counseling, social work, psychology, youth development, or a related field.
• Experience with middle/high school students facing attendance/engagement challenges.
• Experience with at-risk youth or student interventions is strongly preferred.
• Strong commitment to helping students overcome barriers and stay engaged in their education.
• Student-focused, relationship-centered approach with clear expectations and accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor LiveLesson attendance and academic data to identify students with low attendance.
• Conduct proactive outreach with students and families to address barriers to attendance.
• Provide targeted attendance interventions and ongoing follow-up.
• Build positive relationships with students and families while maintaining expectations for attendance and progress.
• Track contacts, barriers, interventions, and outcomes; adjust supports as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and school staff to coordinate supports.
