Job summary

Connections Academy is seeking a LiveLesson Attendance Coordinator in Maine for a 1-year, full-time, 10-month grant-funded role focused on increasing student attendance and engagement in LiveLesson sessions. You will work with students, families, teachers, counselors, and school leaders to identify barriers and provide targeted interventions to improve attendance.

As a Term of Project position, employment ends June 21, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in education, counseling, social work, psychology, youth development, or related field.
• Experience with middle/high school students facing attendance, engagement, or motivational challenges.
• Experience with at-risk youth or providing student interventions is strongly preferred.
• Strong commitment to helping students overcome barriers and remain engaged in their education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor LiveLesson attendance and academic data to identify students with low or declining attendance.
• Conduct proactive outreach and meet with students and families to identify barriers and develop individualized strategies.
• Provide targeted attendance interventions, including reminders, goal setting, problem-solving, accountability, and follow-up.
• Build positive relationships with students and families while maintaining clear expectations for attendance and progress.
• Track contacts, barriers, interventions, and outcomes; adjust supports when needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff to coordinate student supports.
• Participate in MTSS/RTI, grade-level, student support, attendance, and family meetings.
• When needed, establish alternative engagement plans and monitor progress.
