The role includes monitoring attendance at study sessions, providing peer academic support, helping plan workshops and events, assisting with social media and clerical tasks, and upholding FERPA privacy. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in good standing (minimum sophomore standing).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 (3.5 preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record attendance for student-athlete study sessions to ensure a quiet, productive learning environment.
• Meet with student-athletes to provide peer academic support and time-management strategies.
• Help plan, coordinate, and execute academic workshops, recognition events, and other department programs.
• Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services and Retention with social media, clerical tasks, scheduling, data entry, and preparing materials for meetings or events.
• Maintain adherence to FERPA and privacy laws regarding student records.
