Job summary

University of South Florida is seeking dependable Transit Bus Drivers to join Parking & Transportation Services. This entry-level role offers the chance to gain professional driving experience while ensuring safe, reliable transportation for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

  • Must have a Florida Driver’s License, a safe driving record, with at least 1 year of experience driving in the United States.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with passenger and air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate transit buses along assigned routes and schedules.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers as needed, including those with disabilities.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate ridership and operational records.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and fellow drivers via radio or mobile data system.
  • Follow all departmental policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations.

Parking & Transportation Services is seeking dependable and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Transit Bus Drivers. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain professional driving experience while providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour
