Del Mar College is seeking a Student Assistant for the Technology Resource Center to help students with computer issues, support check-in/check-out of laptops and calculators, and maintain an orderly lab to support a positive learning environment.

The ideal candidate is a current Del Mar College student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, has solid customer service and clerical skills, and can communicate effectively with students from all backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with computer issues.
• Support loaner program for check-in/check-out of laptops and calculators.

• Update software/hardware on loaner devices.
• Answer phones and provide checkout information.
• Enter data for TRC equipment checkouts.
• File documents and maintain records.

Position Summary Information

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to students with technical issues as well as check outs and returns of laptops and calculators.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Good clerical skills to include answering phones, filing, and general data entry.
• Strong customer service background.
• Ability to relate to students from all academic levels.
