Job summary

Caltrans, the California Department of Transportation, is seeking a student assistant to support the Chief, Office of Project Delivery PDPD, and staff with cataloguing directives, manuals, and policies. The role includes updating directives, identifying outdated items, and contributing to learning content for Project Delivery.

The position is part-time, non-benefited, and based in California. Work hours are flexible within 8 AM–5 PM, Monday through Friday, with a hybrid office arrangement.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
• Must complete each term with minimum unit requirements for Undergraduate and Graduate student classifications. Proof will be collected at term end.

Responsibilities

• Identification and documentation: assist with locating, identifying, determining ownership, and tracking updating directives, manuals, and guidance.
• Determining, documenting, and tracking website layout and content to inform website developers for maintenance.
• Assist in developing and coordinating learning content for website maintenance.
• Create flowcharts, tables, spreadsheets, data visualizations, and written documents.
• Assist with LMS course management, procurements Justifications, and managing e-mailboxes.
• Attend PDPD and PDeU staff meetings; organize and facilitate meetings as needed; perform other duties.
