Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant within the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Directly under the supervision of the White Laboratory, the Student Assistant will perform supervised research in the area of cancer metabolism. The goal of the summer program is to inspire, motivate and educate the student through mentored cancer research training, co-curricular support, and professional development activities. Under the supervision of the Program Director/Research Mentors, the Student Assistant will engage in research and program related activities focusing on cancer. Additionally, the Student Assistant will learn valuable research skills (experimental, and laboratory techniques) as well as professional career development skills under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator/Research Mentor.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
