Job summary

University of West Georgia is seeking a Student Assistant to support the Housing and Residence Life (HRL) team in the UWG Recruiting Location. This part-time role involves data collection and processing for inventory and key control, assisting with FF&E moves, inspections, events, and day-to-day operations within residence halls.

The position requires enrolling at UWG with at least 6 credit hours, a 2.0 GPA, background check, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
Must have a 2.0 GPA, complete university-mandated background check, and all required training.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Other duties specified by the Housing and Residence Life Department or direct Manager.

Responsibilities

Responsible for collecting, reviewing, processing, and maintaining data for inventory and key control.
Move furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) in a safe and expedient manner.
Assist with Facility inspections and work order management.
Assists with setup and executing HRL events & programs.
Assists with creating/sending email correspondence, answering phones, and providing excellent customer service.
Assists with fire drills and Health & Safety inspections.
Assists with audits for all residence halls, warehouse spreadsheets, and housing office spaces.
Assist with special projects & requests during day-to-day operations.
Assists with maintaining a safe, clean living & learning environment in all HRL residence halls.
