Job summary

University of West Georgia is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Facilities in the University Recreation department. This part-time, temporary role supports staff management, operations, and administrative tasks within the Campus Center and related facilities.

The position includes a monthly stipend of $1,000 and a tuition waiver while enrolled in a UWG graduate program. Applicant must be admitted to a UWG graduate program, enrolled full-time, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
Graduate admission to UWG required for assistantship.
Full-time enrollment in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.
Minimum 3.0 GPA in all graduate coursework.
Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Responsibilities

Staff Management: hire, train, manage, evaluate, and discipline up to 100 undergraduate staff members.
Operations Management: oversee Campus Center daily operations and ensure safety, security, maintenance, and customer service.
Administrative: assist in budget creation and monitoring, inventory management, and attendance at professional development opportunities.
