Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Student Assistant Histo to support histology workflows in the VetMed-Pathology department. You will trim representative sections for lab accessions and help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Grossing Lab, Grinding Room, Histology Lab, and Archive room, ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


Position Summary Position is responsible for trimming representative sections of samples for IDL accessions, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Pathology Grossing Lab, the Grinding Room, and the Histology Lab.


Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Prior experience in the following fields is a plus: customer service and a basic knowledge or understanding of laboratory safety.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, self-motivated, good with numbers, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and will work with several different people and personalities.
