Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is seeking a Part-Time structural engineering student assistant to help build structural models under Dr. Sunai Kim's supervision on the CPP campus in Pomona, CA.

The role focuses on creating and testing models, assisting students, and providing timely technical support, with emphasis on honesty, punctuality, and clear communication. Base pay is $17.00 per hour for this on-site student position.

Qualifications

• Must be self-sufficient and proactive in creating and testing the structural models.
• Communicate clearly on the materials needed.
• Provide technical support with accuracy and timeliness.
• Excellent communication skills (in-person, Zoom), with prompt responses to emails.
• Must demonstrate honesty and detailed book-keeping for hours worked.
• Demonstrate responsibility, helpfulness, and professionalism for the tasks given, to be able to complete them independently.
• Ability to work well with various people including students, faculty, and staff.
• Be motivated, punctual, and show initiative.

Description

SUMMARY : currently searching for one Part-Time structural engineering student assistant to work on structural models, under the supervision of Dr. Sunai Kim.

The part-time student assistant will assist in building structural models to aid in students’ understanding of fundamental engineering concepts.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• · Must be self-sufficient and proactive in creating and testing the structural models
