Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure impactful and memorable VR experiences for students and guests
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all
• Carry out daily operations in the Center for Immersive Learning
• Provide extended periods of focused attention on time-sensitive tasks
• Guide participants through virtual reality experiences from beginning to end
• Assist students and guests with putting on and taking off VR gear, giving directions in a clear and friendly manner
• Assist in troubleshooting VR equipment
• Assist CIL staff with special operations and research projects
• Identify when issues need escalation, and report issues appropriately and in a timely manner
• Perform regular testing and maintenance of all virtual reality equipment
• Clean and reset all VR equipment between uses
• Operate events on the CIL schedule, including assisting participants
• Ensure appropriate opening and closing procedures in the Dreamscape Learn facility
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed to school standards
• Must be available to work Friday evenings and Saturdays periodically

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent (some post-secondary education in technology, education, or related field preferred)
• Excellent customer service experience

Physical Requirements

• Normal physical job functions performed in a standard office environment. Position may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to stand or sit at a desk and working on a computer for long periods of time
