CSU Stanislaus is seeking a temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant in Geography. The role involves meeting with the team, adding data layers to ArcGIS maps, and updating datasets, including metadata. You will design and customize online mapping interfaces using ArcGIS/ESRI tools and perform other duties as assigned.

The position is available November 16, 2026 through May 31, 2027, with possible reappointment depending on budget and performance. Open until filled.

Competenze

• Undergraduate students must be registered in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Preferred: GEOG 4750 Intro to GIS, or equivalent course(s).
• Experience using ArcGIS/ESRI products and MS Office is preferred.

Position Summary

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrates completion of GEOG 4750 Intro to GIS, or equivalent course(s).
• Demonstrates familiarity and comfortability working with computers.
• Demonstrates experience using ArcGIS/ESRI suite of products.
• Demonstrates experience with MS Office products.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Salary Range

$18.50 per hour.
