Position Summary

One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position in Geography.

Start Date

Position available on or after November 16, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Job Description/Duties

• Meet and collaborate with fellow team members.
• Add data layers to an online ArcGIS map; and update and maintain existing data sets (including updating metadata).
• Design online mapping interface; and customize online mapping interface using ArcGIS/ESRI applications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrates completion of GEOG 4750 Intro to GIS, or equivalent course(s).
• Demonstrates familiarity and comfortability working with computers.
• Demonstrates experience using ArcGIS/ESRI suite of products.
• Demonstrates experience with MS Office products.

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Salary Range

$18.50 per hour.
