Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory support for ongoing scientific projects under PI supervision.
• Prepare chemical solutions, buffers, media and reagents.
• Clean glassware, autoclave sterilization, and calibrate basic lab instruments.
• Support research staff with experiments including cell culture and membrane isolation.
• Record data meticulously, log into digital systems and maintain organization systems.
• Follow strict lab safety rules, wear PPE and keep workspaces clean.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, provide laboratory support for ongoing scientific projects. All necessary training will be provided.
• Lab Preparation: Prepare chemical solutions, buffers, media, and reagents.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean glassware, sterilize tools via autoclaving, and calibrate basic lab instruments.
• Research Support Tasks: Support research staff with experiments, including cell culture and membrane isolation.
• Data Management: Record data meticulously, enter logs into digital systems, and help maintain organization systems.
• Safety & Upkeep: Follow strict laboratory safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and keep workspaces clean.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a Current USF Student

Preferred Qualifications

• At least a ‘B’ grade in CHM 2045/2045L, or a ‘4’ grade in AP Chemistry.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
