Job summary

The University of South Florida is seeking a Federal Work Study student to assist in Procurement & Payment Services. Duties include loading/unloading packages, delivering on campus, and maintaining the warehouse, with a flexible 10–20 hour per week schedule to fit around class timetables.

Applicants must be USF students with an active FWS award for 2026-2027, demonstrate reliability, and be able to lift 25–50 lbs while using Microsoft Office tools for tracking and communication.

Department: Procurement & Payment Services

Hourly Wage: $15 per hour

Duties: Procurement & Payment Services is seeking a Federal Work Study student to support warehouse tasks. Duties may include loading and unloading packages, and package delivery and pickup. This position offers students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop professional skills while contributing to the department's operations.

Average Number of Hours per Week: 20 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday working 10-20 hours per week - We work around your class schedule.

Responsibilities

• Currently enrolled student at USF and eligible for Federal Work Study.
• Reliable and dependable when reporting to work, completing projects or assignments, and responding to email or Teams communications promptly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to lift between 25-50 Lbs
• Valid drivers license and ability to complete USF golf cart operation training.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must be a currently enrolled USF student and have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for 2026-2027 to be considered for this position.
