Job Description and Duties

Are you interested in learning about budgeting in a state setting? Or are you looking for a part-time job that will work around your school schedule? We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team.

Under close supervision of the Budget Manager, the incumbent primarily performs duties to support the Budgets and Financial Forecasting Branch. Incumbent must effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others, have good work habits, exhibit attention to detail and dependability, meet program deadlines and exercise good judgment. The student assistant will cross train in alternative assignments within the Budgets and Financial Forecasting Branch. Advanced Microsoft application (such as, Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and Adobe experience is preferred.

This is a part-time position that offers a hybrid telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, with prior approval from management. It also offers flexibility in scheduling.
